Order Details MercyOne North Iowa Speech Pathologist Requested Start Date Requested End Date 10.19.20 Length of assignment (minimum 8 weeks) 13 weeks Hours to be scheduled each week FT 36 hours' Open to PT- 24 hours 40 Shift & times (example: 7a-3p, 7a-7p) Days, Mids, Nights hospital based speech therapy department Monday through Friday, 8-4:30. May include coverage of weekends or holidays. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: Master s degree in the area of Speech/Language Pathology Experience: Must have demonstrated competence in an acute patient care setting for at least one year CFY supervision is available for those with no experience Special Skills and Competencies: 1. Current licensure from the Iowa Department of Public Health 2. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is desirable. 3. Special aptitudes include tact, understanding and compassion and ability to communicate well with other professionals, patients and their families, both verbal and written. Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status Completes Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 5 years
